CES 2025 Las Vegas: Smart Auto Tricycles Shine, Chinese Exhibitors Seize U.S. Market Opportunities
From January 7 to 10, 2025 (U.S. time), the Consumer
Electronics Show (CES) 2025 was grandly held in Las Vegas, USA. As the world's most influential consumer electronics and intelligent transportation exhibition, this year's CES attracted more than 4,800 exhibitors, including 323 Fortune 500 companies. Notably, the intelligent transportation sector became a key highlight, with smart auto tricycles, especially electric and unmanned models, making their brilliant debut and attracting widespread attention from global industry insiders and buyers.
Chinese auto tricycle enterprises achieved a record-high presence at this CES, with more than 20 leading enterprises including Jinpeng and Zongshen participating in the exhibition, accounting for 15% of the total number of Chinese exhibitors in the transportation sector. These enterprises focused on showcasing intelligent and environmentally friendly products tailored to the U.S. market demand. For example, Jinpeng launched its latest smart logistics electric tricycle equipped with NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor intelligent driving domain controller, which supports real-time route planning, automatic obstacle avoidance and remote fleet management functions, perfectly matching the U.S. last-mile logistics and urban short-distance transportation scenarios. Zongshen's newly released lithium battery-powered passenger tricycle, with a cruising range of 180 kilometers and fast charging technology (charging 80% in 30 minutes), also gained great popularity among local distributors.
According to on-site statistics, during the 4-day exhibition, Chinese auto tricycle exhibitors received more than 1,200 intentional cooperation inquiries, with a total intended transaction volume exceeding 50 million US dollars. Among them, inquiries from the U.S. western states such as California and Texas accounted for 60%, mainly from local logistics companies, community service agencies and tourist scenic spots. Industry analysts pointed out that CES 2025 has become an important platform for Chinese auto tricycle enterprises to enter the U.S. market. By demonstrating core technologies such as intelligence and electrification, enterprises can effectively enhance their brand influence in North America and lay a solid foundation for subsequent market expansion. With the continuous strengthening of the U.S. green travel policy and the growing demand for efficient short-distance transportation, the market potential of Chinese smart auto tricycles in the U.S. is expected to be further released.
